Commentary by the Artist:

Board games inspired family get togethers and hours of innocent fun.  Everyone had their favorites and I think Monopoly and Operation have remained on the top of the list even today.  Sorry was a fun game because it allowed me to scream “Sorry” at my friends at the top of my lungs every time I moved their game pieces back.  Mystery Date was a classic favorite of all the girls—my sister and her friends would play that game for hours vying for the perfect date behind the mysterious door.

As adults, some of us rediscovered the games hidden beneath beds or in storage finely coated with dust and a bit tattered. As the lid was lifted from the game box, childhood memories came flooding out. This piece, “Fun for All Ages,” pays tribute to all of those immortal board games that brought people together for a few hours of simple childlike fun and to the memories that lasted far beyond.
