Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel was born in 1883 and by the time she reached her thirties
was one of the most coveted names in the Parisian fashion world.
Chanel created some of the most iconic fashion staples worshipped and relied on by women today, such as, “the little black dress,” the quilted handbag, the multi-strand pearl necklace and the elegant Chanel suit.
In 1921, however, she firmly planted her seed in history by creating a signature perfume called,
“Chanel No. 5.”
It is an international bestseller to this day—
women equate the sophisticated bottle and the scent with the elegance of Chanel.
Her empire continued to expand and, despite her somewhat tragic life,
she will be forever admired as the leading name in the world of haute couture.
